Dave Kleiber is a former Alaska police officer and Colorado police detective.
Dave has 20 years of experience in the field of law enforcement investigation.
After 28 years serving for the United States armed services in the Army
and the Army National Guard, Dave retired from the position in 2012. The
last 11 years of his career with the armed services were spent working
as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Special Forces units, where
he utilized his experience from his Command assignments at the Company
and Battalion levels.
Dave is a combat veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 and Operation
Iraqi Freedom 2, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the
Combat Infantry Badge. For his years of service in the armed forces, Dave
was determined to be 40% disabled by the Veterans Administration (VA),
and has since gained an intimate understanding of the benefits due to
veterans as well as the potential pitfalls that can occur during the process
of applying for disability.
Experienced Police Detective
Dave's work as a police detective includes cases of homicide, missing
persons, international fraud, financial crimes, and scams. His knowledge
about the investigation of sexual assault cases and his skillful ability
to create sexual assault response teams have made Dave an in-demand expert
in the field.
During his career in law enforcement, Dave was assigned to the FBI's
Safe Streets Task Force. He was also deputized as a U.S. Marshall for
his membership with the U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force. Over
the years, Dave has come to be known for his impeccable ability to find
people who do not want to be found.
For the past 16 years, Dave has provided firearms training at the police
academy where he trains law enforcement officers and sworn officers at
the state and regional levels. Dave is also a member of the Colorado POST
Firearms Subject Matter Expert Committee. Here, he oversees the Colorado
Law Enforcement Training Academies and provides guidance and input at
the state level for legislation that concerns police training.
